Frequently Asked Questions
Every Krysto purifier uses a heavy-duty, uncompromised 5-stage purification sequence. This consists of a high-performance external Pre-Filter, an inline Sediment filter, a premium Pre-Carbon block, an advanced RO Membrane layer, and a dedicated Post-Carbon + Mineral or Alkaline Cartridge to restore taste and essential mineral values.
Technically speaking, those 10-stage claims include Anti-Scalent and 4 types of Minerals as stages. Although our purifier has Anti-Scalent and Mineral cartridge, we do not categorize them as separate stages.
Every 9 months we proactively change prefilter, inline sediment, pre-Carbon, post-Carbon + Mineral cartridge. We change RO membrane if the flow rate falls below 5 liters per hour or if the TDS goes above 150.
TDS is not a health measure TDS measures the total concentration of dissolved substances (such as minerals, salts, or metals), not how toxic or clean the water is. Water with a low TDS could still theoretically contain bacteria, viruses, or chemical contaminants if it hasn't been properly purified.
A TDS meter measures the total weight of all dissolved solids in parts per million (ppm). It cannot differentiate between healthy minerals (like calcium) and highly toxic contaminants (like lead)
Our premium 304 Rectangular Stainless Steel tank prevents secondary plastic micro-contamination, completely inhibits algae growth over extended usage periods, and provides a highly durable, premium internal storage structure that lasts for years without degradation. Steel tank comes with 10 years warranty upon maintaining an uninterrupted AMC.Read our full engineering report on the benefits of Stainless Steel vs Plastic tanks here.
Absolutely not. Krysto utilizes high-integrity, anti-corrosive SS-304 food-grade alloy. During manufacturing, the metal surfaces are expertly treated with an anti-scale passivation process, creating a permanent protective shield that natively repels water oxidation. It eliminates all rust and corrosion risks completely.
Our comprehensive 2-Year protection plan includes all the electrical components, all the filters, zero-cost technician visits for regular maintenance, and prioritised technician deployment responses natively across all West Hyderabad and Twin City coverage coordinates.
After your complimentary 2-year contract ends, you can renew your protection with our Comprehensive AMC for ₹2,500/year(₹3,000/yr for Alkaline model), which covers all filters and electrical components. Alternatively, you can pay for individual components as you go. View our full Post-Warranty Component & AMC Price List. .
To maintain complete transparency with our customers, Krysto offers highly predictable, fixed-rate renewal service plans. Once your complimentary 2-year unconditional contract concludes, you can opt for our post-warranty annual maintenance renewals:
Standard Annual Plan: ₹2,500 per annum. ₹3,000 for Alkaline model
These renewals continue to cover all standard filter replacements (pre-filter, sediment, carbon, mineral and RO membrane), electrical components alongside dedicated local customer engineering support across the Twin cities network.
Because we engineered it to be truly efficient without unnecessary extras. A high-quality RO membrane physically filters out and removes bacteria and viruses from the water. A UV lamp only neutralizes bacteria without removing them, which is redundant after a rigorous RO stage. By eliminating the redundant UV barrel, we save you from high annual maintenance costs and electronic failures, giving you pure hardware that just works.
Yes. Krysto purifiers are explicitly custom-tuned to handle the unique mineral profiles of the Hyderabad-Secunderabad twin cities. Whether your home receives soft municipal water or high-TDS groundwater (up to 2500 ppm) from deep borewells, our multi-stage RO filtration stabilizes the mineral content perfectly without stripping the water of essential taste elements.
No, Krysto water purifiers do not use a TDS controller, and this is a deliberate choice to protect your health.
A TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) controller works by mixing a portion of raw, untreated water back into the pure, filtered water to adjust the taste or mineral levels. At Krysto, we do not believe in compromising your safety for this practice. Mixing untreated water back into the system creates a loophole where harmful bacteria, viruses, and contaminants like Fluoride, Arsenic can bypass the main purification membranes and enter your drinking water.
No. At Krysto, we never recommend skipping or bypassing the RO membrane, because a low TDS level does not automatically mean your water is safe to drink.
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) only measures the quantity of dissolved minerals and salts in your water—it is not an indicator of microbiological or chemical safety. Even if your water has a low TDS under 300, it can still be heavily contaminated with invisible dangers like harmful bacteria, viruses, cysts, lead, arsenic, pesticides, and industrial chemicals.
The RO (Reverse Osmosis) membrane acts as your ultimate shield. It is the only stage capable of physically blocking these microscopic pathogens and heavy metals. Bypassing the RO membrane simply because the TDS is low exposes your family to severe health risks. We ensure that 100% of your water passes through our advanced purification stages to guarantee absolute safety, regardless of your initial TDS reading.
No. We intentionally skip smart app integration, bluetooth connectivity, and digital displays to protect our customers from "feature bloat" and expensive circuit board failures. Instead, every rupee is invested into industrial-grade, heavy-duty components—like our premium food-grade SS-304 stainless steel storage tanks and advanced RO membranes. Furthermore, because our purification technology natively locks out microbial contaminants, we bypass unnecessary UV lamps to keep the machine mechanically simple and highly reliable.
To maintain strict quality control and offer affordable premium pricing directly to you, Krysto systems are not listed on generic e-commerce platforms. We operate completely direct-to-consumer across Hyderabad. Additionally, because we sell directly to homeowners for personal residential use rather than commercial resale, you do not need a GST registration or business credential to order—a standard personal receipt is provided with every system.
If you are relocating within the Twin Cities (Hyderabad and Secunderabad), we offer hassle-free relocation assistance. We charge a nominal fee of ₹400 for uninstallation and ₹400 for reinstallation, which includes a comprehensive system health check and filter inspection. Please note that we currently do not provide service support outside the Twin Cities. If you prefer to handle the uninstallation and reinstallation yourself, please simply send us a quick message with your new Twin Cities address so we can update your records.
Our business is a registered MSME and our annual turnover falls well below the mandatory government threshold for GST registration. Because of this exemption, we do not collect GST from our customers, which allows us to keep our pricing highly affordable while remaining fully legal and compliant.
